Winter beach day at Longsands in Tynemouth

The weather this Winter has been very cold and very grey, not many rainy days, but a lot of cloudy and grey ones so it’s not suprising that when a sunny – almost radiant – day comes along that people put on many layers of clothes and go out for a walk along the beach to enjoy the nice weather.

This past Saturday it was absolutely freezing, very windy but very sunny so the beach was crowded with families, people walking their dogs and given that it was pretty windy, many people were flying kites as well.

El clima este invierno ha sido mayormente nublado y con mucho frío, no tanta lluvia, pero si muchos dias grises y por eso es común que cuando sale el sol  - casi radiante - la gente salga a pasear y vaya a la playa completamente emponchados a disfrutar del día.

Este sábado pasado hizo un frío recontra frío, mucho viento pero mucho sol, asi que la playa estaba llena de familias, gente con sus perros y dado el viento favorable, muchas personas remontando barriletes.

Playa de Whitley Bay - Whitley Bay Beach

Hace dos domingos fuimos a caminar por la playa de Whitley Bay.... Estaba cubierta de piedras y la marea venia en subida. Pasamos un linda tarde.


Two Sundays ago we went to Whitley Bay Beach for a nice walk. The beach was covered in rocks and pebbles and the tide was coming up. We had a lovely afternoon.

¡El misterio finalmente se resolvió! Hace como un mes escuché el trotar de un caballo, corro hacia la ventana miro para todos lados y ¡nada! Me vuelvo a sentar en la compu y una media hora después vuelvo a escuchar el trote de un caballo. Agarre la cámara y me asome por la ventana, obvio, ¡tampoco llegue a tiempo!

Pero hoy, al escuchar nuevamente el trotecito me instalé en la ventana cámara en mano y media hora después…

¡Taraaaaaaá!

Mystery is finally over! About a month ago the sound of a trotting horse came through my window; I ran towards the window, looked around and saw nothing! 
I sit back at the computer and about half an hour later I hear the trotting sound once more, so I grabbed my camera and looked out the window, but of course, I didn’t get there in time!
Today, however, when I heard the trotting horse sound coming from outside, I took my camera again and sat by the window and waited patiently.
Half an hour later the horse passed by! *click* Here’s the photo!
